# shuffleCharacters

> Shuffles the characters in a string.

## Signature

```typescript path=null start=null theme={null}
shuffleCharacters(str: string): string
```

## Parameters

* **str**: `string` - The input string.

## Returns

`string` - The string with its characters shuffled.
